St Anne’s is the home of choice for the brightest and most ambitious students, including those from underrepresented groups.
St Anne’s is one of Oxford’s largest colleges, with over 800 students. Our Fellows’ world leading research ranges across the arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, and physical, life and medical sciences.
Our diverse, inclusive community extends around the globe through our alumnae, who build on their experiences here to change the world for the better.
Situated within 5 acres of tranquil leafy grounds, St Anne’s enjoys a unique atmosphere in which to hold any conference, dinner or special event.
We are proud to share the news that St Anne’s graduate student, Hunar Batra (MSc in Computer Science, 2021) has recently been awarded the “Google Women in Computer Science Generation Scholarship” Award (EMEA). This is a prestigious award given to Women in Computer Science for demonstrating outstanding academic achievements, research work and leadership in Computer Science. Moreover, Hunar was one of only four students in the UK to be selected for this award.
As part of the scholarship, which recognises excellence in research, Hunar was awarded 7,000 Euros.
Google comments: “These students have demonstrated a passion for technology, academic excellence, and have proven themselves as exceptional leaders and role models. They will join a community of over 2,800 Google scholarship recipients. We can’t wait to see how these students continue to shape the future of computer science, gaming, and technology.”
