St Anne’s Fellow Prof. David Pyle teams up with fellow Oxford volcanologist Tamsin Mather, illustrator Daniel Long and publishers Nosy Crow to produce a new children’s book Think Big: The Power of Volcanoes

St Anne’s Fellow and volcanologist David Pyle has teamed up with fellow Oxford volcanologist Tamsin Mather, illustrator Daniel Long and publishers Nosy Crow to produce a new book Think Big: The Power of Volcanoes, aimed at 7- to 11-year-olds.

David said: “Working with a professional illustrator, we have combined words and pictures to tell the scientific story of how volcanoes work. Daniel’s illustrations are wonderfully vibrant and fun to look at, but are also technically accurate and based on real volcanoes and current ideas.”

The book was published this week, and is available here.
