Stipendiary Lecturer in Ancient Philosophy

Stefan read Literae Humaniores as an undergraduate at Christ Church, Oxford, where he also took an MSt in ancient philosophy. He subsequently moved to Oriel College, Oxford, where he completed his DPhil in philosophy and taught as a college lecturer. Stefan then spent five years as Career Development Fellow in Ancient Philosophy at Balliol College, Oxford, following which, in 2019, he took up the position of Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy at Queen’s. In 2021, he moved to the same position at LMH and in 2022, he became Departmental Lecturer in Ancient Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy.
Ancient philosophy
His research interests are in ancient philosophy, with a focus to date on Hellenistic epistemology and scepticism.
