Stipendiary Lecturer in Engineering Science

After a bachelor’s degree in Engineering at the University of Khartoum, Elsiddig went on to do a Master in Engineering Mechanics and a PhD in Solid Mechanics at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. In 2015 he defended his thesis “Modeling of fracture and damage in rubber under dynamic and quasi-static conditions”, investigating crack propagation in rubber. He joined the Department of Engineering at Oxford in 2016, as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Alan Cocks, and became a lecturer at St Anne’s in 2017.
