St Anne’s is the home of choice for the brightest and most ambitious students, including those from underrepresented groups.
St Anne’s is one of Oxford’s largest colleges, with over 800 students. Our Fellows’ world leading research ranges across the arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, and physical, life and medical sciences.
Our diverse, inclusive community extends around the globe through our alumnae, who build on their experiences here to change the world for the better.
Situated within 5 acres of tranquil leafy grounds, St Anne’s enjoys a unique atmosphere in which to hold any conference, dinner or special event.
We’re very sorry to announce that our College tortoise, Tortellini, became poorly several days ago and, following a visit to the vet, has since died in his sleep. We heard the sad news this morning.
Tortellini was a regular fixture in the Danson Room and we know he will be missed by many members of College, especially the Tortoise Rangers. Tortellini was given to the students as a gift by Tim Gardam upon his resignation as Principal. In 2018, Tortellini triumphed at the Corpus Christi Tortoise Race – his historic win has been preserved forever here:

Many thanks to all those who looked after Tortellini during his happy life at St Anne’s.
