Professorial Fellow Saiful Islam presented a public lecture at the beautiful Leicester Museum & Art Gallery on Feb 12th, through an invitation of the Leicester Literary and Philosophical Society (founded in 1835), and sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The lecture was titled ‘Green energy materials in 3D: crystal gazing an the atomic scale’. Saiful used 3D glasses for the audience (as seen in the featured image) and discussed his lemon battery world record — in 2022, Saiful and his team broke the Guinness World Record for the highest voltage from a fruit battery.
